1925 Survey of Defective School Buildings

In 1925 a nationwide survey was carried out into school buildings and their suitability.  Northamptonshire was no exception and Abthorpe School was assessed.  It was classified as "category B - schools which were not good enough in their present condition, but might be acceptable for either their registered number or a lower number of children if expenditure on improvements were made."
