Do you have crockery and cutlery? ► Yes, we have crockery and cutlery for 90 place settings of one design, with additional items in reserve if more is required, all included in the hire fee. Click here for details of what is available including tablecloths, trays, cooking equipment, etc.
What about glasses? ► Glasses can be included in the hire fee. Please ask for details.
What speed is your WiFi? ► The WiFi is 'superfast', that is better than 30Mbps. For terms and conditions please click here.
Do you have a sound system? ► Yes. For full information please click here.
We would like more subdued lighting for our event. Is this possible? ► The lighting has been designed to create a full range of moods, from full light to soft, offering the effect you desire. Ceiling lights have two settings, five wall lights can be switched in three different ways and also dimmed, and uplighter spots enhance the front windows.
Where can I find your health and safety policy? ► It is available for viewing here. All hirers, contractors and users of the Old School are expected to follow health and safety instructions as displayed, report any dangers, and take reasonable care of themselves and other people.
Are you a registered charity? ► Yes, our charity registration number is 309804.
What parking is available? ► There is ample parking in the village around the Green just outside the hall. Additional parking may be arranged if required.
What is the latest time we can leave the hall? ► All music must be finished by 23.00 and the hall vacated by midnight.
Do you have a hearing loop system? ► No, but the main hall has an acoustic ceiling. What improvements have you made to the hall, and how have they been funded? ► A major refurbishment took place in 2019 which included new heating, lighting and sound systems. Fundraising and volunteer help covered some of the costs, but we are very grateful to all our grant sponsors who made this substantial scheme possible.
